Dr. Rachel Speed

Dr. Rachel Speed

Veterinarian

Rachel Speed Webster, DVM attended Texas A&M University for both her undergraduate work and Veterinary Degree. She has over 18 years’ experience working in both day practices and emergency hospitals. Dr. Speed graduated in 2007 with her doctorate and moved to DFW. Before opening Trophy Club Animal Hospital, she practiced medicine at the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas and Specialty Center for 10 years working intricately with highly trained specialists in the veterinary field. Her special interests include: customized preventative medicine, internal medicine, ultrasound imaging, and surgery. Dr. Speed’s passion is to cultivate a genuine relationship with people and their beloved pets.

She enjoys spending her free time with Ryan, her husband, and their two daughters. Their four-legged children include their rescued pups: Cricket and Roofus their two boxers, Eddie the pit bull terrier, and Olaf the cat.

Dr. Tess Gopffarth

Veterinarian

Dr. Tess Gopffarth grew up outside of Houston, Texas. She went to Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science. During college, Dr. Tess worked as a technician at a small animal practice in College Station. Dr. Tess earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and completed her clinical studies at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, she worked as a small animal veterinarian in Colorado. Dr. Tess was eager to return to her home state and is excited to be a part of the Trophy Club Animal Hospital team. Her special interests include Internal Medicine, ultrasound, surgery, and caring for senior pets.

In her free time, Dr. Tess enjoys being outdoors, hiking, skiing, and camping with her husband, Kramer. Their four-legged family includes Jerry, a mixed breed dog from the Caribbean, and two tuxedo cats; Beau and Dexter.

Dr. Brooke Bemis

Dr. Brooke Bemis

Veterinarian

Dr. Bemis grew up outside of Chicago, Illinois. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the time she was able to say the word. Dr. Bemis completed her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Dr. Bemis visited Texas during her veterinary externship where she met Dr. Speed and the amazing team at TCAH. Her interests include: comprehensive preventive medicine, surgery, and shelter medicine. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is building relationships with clients and their furry family members.

In her free time, Dr. Bemis enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, traveling, and being outdoors. Dr. Bemis and her boyfriend, Patrick, adopted the light of their world, Tito, a Border Collie mix. Trophy Club Animal Hospital is super excited to welcome Dr. B to our team!

Receptionist Manager

Lauren has been a veterinary receptionist at TCAH for several years.  Lauren is dedicated, loyal, and compassionate about her job.  She has a kind heart, is an excellent communicator, is exceptionally organized, and has a passion for helping people and animals.

In her free time, she enjoys entertaining, baking, and spending time with her son, husband, and their three fur children: Cruz, Paris, and Cousin Mittens. Lauren is a hard worker, exceptionally organized, and is excited about making your experience at Trophy Club Animal Hospital be amazing!

Renita Tremble

Receptionist

Renita was born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Her first job in veterinary medicine was working in an animal shelter vaccine only clinic drawing up vaccines, collecting payment, and filling out rabies certificates.

She moved to Texas in 2001 with her husband, Jeff, and started working in a small animal hospital as a receptionist in Fort Worth. She loves animals and working with them. She also enjoys interacting with clients and meeting new people.

She has been married to her husband Jeff for 19 years and has a cavalier named Stonee, whom she loves to pieces.

Renita enjoys reading suspense novels, reading travel blogs, and traveling. She has 2 sons and 4 granddaughters that she enjoys spending time with.

Lauren Cowles, LVT

Medical Director/Licensed Veterinary Technician

Lauren has been a veterinary technician for 11 years, and is a licensed veterinary technician. She graduated with her bachelors degree from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. Lauren has always known she wanted to work with animals and can’t see herself doing anything else. She enjoys getting to know clients and their pets on a more personal level. Lauren has found a close bond with both the patients and their owners makes even the tough visits a little easier. Lauren enjoys life with her husband, Michael, her 2 dogs (Lilly and Lobo), and her cat Mila. Lauren enjoys traveling, hiking, and doing anything outdoors. She also enjoys kickboxing in her free time.

Shannen Casados, LVT

Shannen Casados, LVT

Veterinary Technician

Shannen is originally from Los Alamos, New Mexico. She moved to Denver, Colorado, where she received her Associate’s degree in Animal Technology from Bel-Rea in 2014. When she moved to DFW in 2015, she became licensed in the state of Texas. Shannen has a wide variety of experiences, including emergency medicine, large animal medicine, zoo medicine, and feline specialty. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her daughter, stepson, and husband. She shares her home with three cats: Mittens, Magic, Minnie the Mouser, and one dog named Maxamillion.

Carianne is a Veterinary Technician that recently moved to DFW from Houston. Carianne joins Trophy Club Animal Hospital with 4 years of veterinary medicine experience. She is passionate about saving animals lives and making certain they feel loved every second they are under our care. Carianne loves being apart of the Trophy Club Animal Hospital team and loves getting to work everyday with our wonderful clients and patients.

In her free time, Carianne loves hiking with her two rescue dogs, Sammy and Blue.

Delaine Mitchell

Kennel Technician Manager/Veterinary Technician

Delaine joined the team in January 2019 with 10 years of experience as a veterinary technician. She has 3 dogs and 3 cats of her own at home. Pictured is her dachshund mix Remmy. Delaine has always had a passion for working with animals and takes great pride in helping them be healthy and happy. She also often fosters with local rescues. Delaine specializes in taking infant puppies and kittens whom have lost their mother and enjoys making sure they are well and find forever homes.

Customer Service Specialist/Veterinary Technician

Trophy Club Animal Hospital is fortunate to have Sydni on its team. Sydni has 9 years of experience as a veterinary technician and we call her our “cat whisperer”. She has a passion for providing excellent care for all animals, while focusing on making them feel at home. Sydni is kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable about animal healthcare.

In her free time, Sydni likes to spend time with her family, read, and attend veterinary continuing education events. She also enjoys spoiling her crew: Fritz, Millie, Goober, and Munchkin.

Casey Moritz

Kennel Technician

Casey has been a part of the Trophy Club Animal Hospital family for over two years. She has grown her love for medicine even more during the time spent here. Casey is a senior at Byron Nelson High School, and currently is enrolled in the Biomedical Sciences Academy. Casey is on path to become an certified EMT at the end of this school year. Casey has committed to a hockey team up north through Endicott College where she can continue her studies in medical sciences. Casey loves learning new things as well as spoiling dogs and cats with love and compassion while working at the hospital. In her spare time she loves playing ice hockey, hanging out with friends, and snuggling with her polar bear of a dog, Piper.

Veterinary Technician / Kennel Technician

Hannah has been part of the TCAH team for over two years now, and she loves giving special care to each and every patient she sees. She passed her Certified Veterinary Assistant exam in May 2021. She’s currently a college freshman studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a goal of attending Texas A&M University for vet school. Hannah’s positive attitude and willingness to help make her an amazing asset to our team. In her free time, Hannah enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her Cornish Rex, Logan.

Sami Covington

Receptionist/Veterinary Technician

Before joining the TCAH team in July 2019, Sami worked at a boarding facility for 2 years. She has always dreamed of working with animals for a living as it is where she is the happiest! Sami loves being able to learn new things about veterinary medicine every day, and her long-term goal is to be a veterinary technician. Sami enjoys ensuring our patients are enjoying their stay at Trophy Club Animal Hospital, whether it is with extra snuggles and belly rubs or just throwing the ball in the yard. Sami’s hobbies include traveling and fishing with her husband and going to the park with her 4 fur kids, Jax, Chief, Mercy and Buddy.

Peyton Cherry

Peyton graduated from Tarrant County College with an associates degree in Art. She is currently enrolled in a veterinary technician program to become a licensed veterinary technician. Peyton loves to learn about veterinary medicine and is especially interested in parasitology. Peyton enjoys meeting each patient and enjoys spoiling them during their stay at Trophy Club Animal Hospital.

Peyton’s hobbies include: painting, exploring national parks, spending time with her fiancé Hudson, and spoiling their fur babies: Gunner, the blue tick hound, Apollo, the Doberman, and Triton, the German shepherd.

Dominique Espinosa

Groomer

Dominique has 8 years’ experience as a full time groomer and is exceptionally talented. She specializes in poodles of all sizes and toy breeds. She is passionate about providing excellent service for our clients and their pets. Dominique is a great asset to our Trophy Club Animal Hospital family.

When not grooming, Dominique enjoys spending time with her family and watching her son play baseball.

Rose Lonce

Groomer

Rose has been grooming at TCAH for over 2 years. She came to our team with 25+ years of grooming experience. Rose attended grooming school in Florida and is a certified professional dog groomer. She was also a grooming instructor for 5 years. Rose absolutely LOVES grooming and teaching. Rose’s favorite breed to groom are Bichon Frise and she has been called the “Bichon Lady.” In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her husband, Andrew, and visiting their 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren. Rose loves traveling, camping, fishing, riding roller coasters, and playing frisbee golf.
Sonia Dorado

Administrative Assistant

Sonia recently joined the team and has over 20 years of administrative experience, plus she is bilingual. She not only enjoys the behind-the-scenes work of being an administrative assistant but loves to put smiles on clients’ faces and does so even more now that they are furry ones! Occasionally you may see her behind the front desk, eager to help take care of you with a contagious smile.

Sonia, and her husband Alex, reside in Fort Worth, Tx, and have four kids, three boys, and one girl, along with their fur baby Kubo. Hobbies include spending time with her family and friends.

Clinic Kitty

Olaf was adopted by Dr. Speed in 2013. He had several bite wounds, was covered in fleas, was not neutered, and was limping around the streets of Trophy Club. Olaf was doctored up and offered a forever home with Dr. Speed’s family. Olaf LOVES living at Trophy Club Animal Hospital because he gets to see his mommy more than sitting at home all day and enjoys watching over his team. Olaf enjoys greeting clients, keeping Lauren entertained early in the mornings by sitting on her keyboard while she schedules appointments, and enjoys sharing the love by fixing up and fostering kitties to help them find their forever homes.

Clinic Kitty

Sven was adopted by Trophy Club Animal Hospital in August 2019. Olaf spent several years fostering kitties and helping them find homes and decided it was time for a permanent resident. Sven is the PERFECT addition to our TCAH family. He is often found snuggling near the receptionist desk or in the back cuddled by the computers of his favorite employees.

Sven is not shy at all and will come running like a puppy when called. His favorite wrestle partner is Olaf. Sven loves other kitties, kids, dogs, and all of his Trophy Club Animal Hospital family.
